Winery
Tenuta San Guido, the birthplace of the emblematic Sassicaia, is located in Bolgheri (Tuscany) and enjoys a unique prestige in the world of wine. Such is its relevance that Sassicaia has its own appellation of origin, Bolgheri Sassicaia DOC, recognized in 1994, being one of the few Italian wines with an exclusive DOC.
The estate is home to carefully selected vineyards, planted on stony soils reminiscent of Bordeaux gravel, and with a privileged orientation that takes full advantage of the influence of the sea and the sun. The combination of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc results in wines of great structure, aromatic complexity and remarkable aging capacity.
