Winery

Aalto Bodegas y Viñedos was founded in 1999 in Quintanilla de Arriba (Valladolid), born from the collaboration of two iconic figures in Spanish wine: Mariano García, winemaker at Vega Sicilia for thirty years, and Javier Zaccagnini, former director of the Ribera del Duero Regulatory Council. Both shared the same goal: to craft a wine of the highest quality, with its own personality and a faithful reflection of the region’s old vineyards.

Aalto’s vineyards cover more than 200 plots of Tempranillo (Tinto Fino) across various municipalities in the denomination, giving its wines exceptional complexity and diversity. At the winery, traditional methods are combined with precise modern winemaking, producing wines that are deep, elegant, and with remarkable aging potential.

Today, Aalto represents excellence, balance, and modernity, establishing itself as one of the most influential projects in the Ribera del Duero and a benchmark of Spanish wine internationally.
